Cliffview Assisted Living Center in Kremmling is owned by Grand County Housing Authority (funded by Grand County), and managed by Middle Park Health (MPH). It currently offers 24 private rooms for independently mobile adults who need a level of care.
Grand County Housing Authority works with MPH to keep housing and care affordable for Cliffview residents. However, funding this level of care is becoming increasingly difficult. While we recognize the importance of caring for our community's aging population, that care is becoming a larger financial burden to taxpayers with every passing year.
Currently, only xx percent of residents are "private pay" - meaning that Medicaid is billed for the remaining xx percent. As the Medicaid program continues to reduce what it pays for care and facilities like Cliffview, Every year, Grand County makes up the financial difference. In 2025, $800,000 is budgeted for operations and facility maintenance (about $33,000 per resident).
As we look to Cliffview's future, we want ensure our community is aware of the financial commitment, and also gauge the community's support for continued funding for Cliffview - which could mean additional mills levied in the future.
