Even though every effort is made to clear all of our winter maintained roads as quickly as we're able after a snowfall, it is simply not possible to have every street be the first plowed. The plow routes are designed with efficiency and effectiveness in mind, and priority is given to the school and transit bus routes and main roads.Road & Bridge

Crack sealing is a process used to seal cracks in the road surface without completely resurfacing the road. The cracks in the road are cleared of rocks and debris using an air compressor. Then, the cracks are filled with hot sealant to prevent water damage.

It is necessary to revert to the eight-hour day during the winter months to provide daily plowing and sanding services on all county maintained roadways. -
Some things are best left alone, among them, a very dry road surface. Grading roads when they are extremely dry may smooth out the washboards temporarily, but without being able to compact the road surface after grading, the washboards will quickly return, along with an increase in annoying dust.Road & Bridge
