Grand County Launches Master Plan Update
Grand County is launching an update to the Grand County Master Plan and inviting residents, business owners, and workers to help shape the County’s future. This update will reflect today’s needs and priorities while establishing a shared vision for how unincorporated Grand County grows and changes over time.
The Master Plan will build on previous planning efforts and provide guidance for decisions about land use, infrastructure, and community development in unincorporated County over the next 10 to 20 years. It will help balance growth and investment with the protection of Grand County’s rural character, natural landscapes, and community identity.
The update will explore key topics that affect daily life in Grand County, including community character and design, development patterns, public services and infrastructure, economic opportunities, housing affordability, transportation and mobility, recreation and tourism, environmental stewardship, resilience, and overall quality of life. At its core, the process will be shaped by community input and will define a shared vision for Grand County through 2040.
