Appraisers Sought for Valuation Appeals

The Grand County Board of Equalization (BOE) is seeking experienced local appraisers who are interested in serving as referees for the BOE to assist in hearing and rendering opinions on real and personal property tax appeals. Referees consider evidence presented by both the property owner petitioner and the assessor’s office and render their professional opinion for consideration by the BOE. 

To be considered as a candidate, the applicant must be a licensed appraiser with experience working for an assessor’s office, board of equalization or other administrative tax appeal board.  The applicant must also be available to serve as a referee around the business weeks of July, 2022. Full-day stipend of $500 is provided.

 Letters of Interest may be emailed to Cynthia McCoy, Exec. Administrator for the GCManager’s Office and Board of County Commissioners / GC BOE: by July 8, 2022.
