ARRESTS FOLLOWING TRESPASS IN GRAND LAKE

GRAND COUNTY, CO- On April 17, 2022, at approximately 1:15 p.m. Grand County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence on County Road 49 in unincorporated Grand County near Grand Lake after receiving a report of a possible trespass at a residence. The homeowner reported that he had observed suspicious activity on his ring camera. Deputies observed an adult male exit the residence on several occasions and when they attempted to contact the male subject, he was verbally uncooperative and then retreated back into the residence. Middle Park Emergency Response Team (ERT) was activated and responded along with our state and federal partners including Granby Police Department, Fraser Winter Park Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service. Law enforcement was also assisted by Grand County Emergency Medical Services and Grand Lake Fire Protection District.

Law enforcement located one adult male inside the residence and following an extensive area search, a second adult male suspect was located hiding in a nearby house under construction. Both of these individuals were taken into custody without further incident. An adult female was also contacted in the area and it was later determined that she had been involved in the incident as well. Through the course of the investigation it was later determined that one of the suspects arrested was the son of the homeowner who was not expected to be at the residence. This was determined to be an isolated incident and not related to a pattern of other trespasses or burglaries.

Gregory Wyatt, age 36, from Aurora, is being held on a Failure to Appear Warrant for dangerous drugs out of the Denver Marshal’s Office.

Andrew Belrose, age 30, from Denver, is being held on a felony warrant out of the Colorado Department of Corrections for a Parole violation and an additional felony arrest warrant out of the Edgewater Police Department for aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Audrey Teachout, age 36, was issued a criminal summons for false reporting to authorities and released.

The investigation is ongoing and local charges are pending.
