Due to significant rust and cracks, the structural integrity of the bridge on County Road 8 is being compromised. For reasons of safety and sustainability, the bridge is being replaced. Construction will begin on Monday, August 5th, with an anticipated duration of three months. Residents who use the County Road 8 bridge will need to utilize alternate routes during this time. Grand County, the Town of Fraser, and Colorado Department of Transportation have partnered to ensure the project is completed quickly and with minimal impact on residents.
While we apologize for the inconvenience, we request that motorist be considerate while utilizing the detours. Because the alternate routes will cause an abnormal amount of traffic in the surrounding neighborhoods, please heed speed limits and pedestrians.
