In conjunction with Middle Park High School (MPHS), Grand County Emergency Medical Services (GCEMS) has been able to offer an emergency medical technician (EMT) basic class to high school seniors for the last several years.

Seniors from MPHS come to GCEMS to attend class for an hour a day for the entire year. Upon successful completion of the course, students may sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam to become nationally recognized as an EMT basic.

GCEMS and MPHS are also able to offer 11-12 graders a one-semester internship.
