COVID-19 Testing

< Back

Grand County Public Health (GCPH) is currently in the process of performing COVID-19 surveillance testing on a sample of predetermined, high-contact, essential workers in Grand County. As testing capabilities are still limited in the State, the testing is focused on frontline workers who have had significant public interaction over the last 9 weeks.  These workers are likely to have a higher risk of infection due to the nature of their contact with the public.   It should be noted that the test performed is a Molecular PCR Test that detects recent or active disease (not antibodies).

As most testing capabilities become available, Grand County Public Health may open the testing up to more businesses and/or the general public.  However, we do not know when or if that will happen.  If you feel you need to be tested, please consult your primary care physician or the nearest healthcare facility to discuss your situation.

Middle Park Health is now offering antibody testing and testing for non-symptomatic individuals. Prices for walk-in cash-pay patients (no order required) are $50 for antibody test and $100 for the nasal swab. Please call 970-887-5886

Currently, we have no news on the rapid tests being available in Grand County.
