The county Building and Sanitation Services is the building authority for the towns of Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, and all unincorporated areas. If your project is within these town limits, start with the town in question to have them review and sign off on their zoning authority, then bring your application packet to Building and Sanitation Services.
The county Planning and Zoning Services are responsible for reviewing land development proposals and providing recommendations to the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Board of County Commissioners. All development proposals are evaluated against the county’s master plans and the applicable Grand County Land Use Regulation.
Zoning review for building permits and complaints regarding possible code violations or blight is also done here.
Grand County Economic Development was formed in June 2012 by the Grand County Board of Commissioners because they believe in the value of a thriving economic environment that retains, expands and attracts businesses in Grand County.
