Grand County Alerts is the official emergency alert and warning system used by Grand County, Colorado to inform and warn the public about active or ongoing disasters and hazards, and to provide necessary instructions - including evacuation orders.

Individuals who were previously signed up for CodeRED will not be automatically enrolled in Grand County Alerts. To receive life-saving notifications, all residents, business owners, second-home owners and visitors must manually register.

Registration tips

The most important information we need to keep you informed during an emergency are:

1. The best phone number to contact you with emergency notifications.
2. Where you live.

When you register, you will be asked to "Confirm Address." If a suggested address doesn't match the address your entered, that is OK! More important than the typed address is that your house is placed correctly on the map. 

• If the red pin on the map is correct, click the green "Confirm This Address" button.
• If it is not correct, simply use your mouse (on a laptop) or fingers (on a mobile device) to drag the red pin to the correct location. Once the red pin is in the correct location, click the green "Confirm This Address" button.
